Alicante has several covered municipal markets that open Monday to Saturday. Beyond the Central Market, the Carolinas Market in the upper part of the city serves its local neighbourhood with fresh produce, seafood, and baked goods. These indoor markets are a reliable option year-round.

The city's open-air street markets are where you'll find the biggest crowds and the best bargains. The Benalúa Market runs on Thursdays and Saturdays along Calle Carratalá, offering around 300 stalls with fresh fruit, antiques, and clothing. Babel Street Market, also on Thursdays and Saturdays, is one of the largest flea markets in the Alicante province, with everything from kitchenware to bicycles.
