About Albacete Street Market

Every Tuesday from 8am to 2pm, Albacete's fairgrounds transform into Castilla-La Mancha's largest market with 550 stalls. Known locally as 'Los Invasores', this massive street market has been operating for over 60 years.

The market earned its unusual nickname in the 1960s when a TV series called 'Los Invasores' aired on Tuesdays. The name stuck as vendors seemed to 'invade' the fairgrounds each week.

Two main sections organize the stalls: 470 general merchandise stalls and 85 dedicated food vendors. You'll find fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms alongside clothing, footwear, and household goods.

The fairgrounds location gives ample space for the market's size. Wide pathways separate the organized rows, making navigation easier despite the crowds.

Vendors arrive early to set up, with the busiest period running from mid-morning until noon. By early afternoon, stalls begin packing up for another week.

The market closes during Feria de Albacete (September 7-17) but operates every other Tuesday of the year. This consistency has made it a weekly destination for shoppers from across the region.
