Merced Street Market

The market in Plaza de la Merced (Málaga) is a street-market style event held in the city centre of Málaga (province of Málaga) where local artisans display jewellery, home décor, fashion accessories, ecological produce and handcrafted gifts. It is situated in a broad public square, close to the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, adding a cultural dimension to the shopping environment. Operating once a month (on the first Sunday) from approximately 11:00 to 19:00, the market provides a space for small-scale makers rather than large commercial chains.

The square is located within Málaga city centre and can be reached on foot from major central points such as the cathedral or Calle Larios. Bus lines of the local EMT network stop nearby in the Centro district. Visitors arriving by train should alight at Málaga-Mar Plaza or the main station and walk to the square. Street parking is limited.
