Street Markets in the Province of Alicante
Valencian Community
Street markets are part of everyday life throughout the province of Alicante, from the coastal towns of the Costa Blanca to the agricultural villages inland.
Each week, open-air markets gather residents and visitors in squares filled with stalls selling a variety of goods, including fruit, clothing, footwear, and crafts. They remain one of the most accessible ways to experience the province’s social rhythm.
The largest street markets can be found in Torrevieja, Benidorm, and Denia, drawing hundreds of traders and regular customers.
Smaller towns such as Altea, Cocentaina, and Novelda keep a more local scale, with produce from nearby farms and family-run stalls.
Across the province, these markets reflect the Mediterranean character of Alicante: open, communal, and rooted in tradition.
